One new cemetery and 3 new sidebars

Greetings — it’s been a while since we posted. We are remodeling our apartment and have been packing like little beavers. Currently we’re homeless but when the work is all done, it will be wonderful.

In the meantime, we’ve visited the Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery off the Eastex Freeway in Houston, site of a the final resting place for Masons, musicians, politicians and an outlaw.

We’ve also posted some fascinating Sidebars: A Bizarre Burial and Unsolved Mystery, Famous Cemeteries from Around the World sent to us by our friend Bill and a Zombie Found in Ohio. We think you’ll get a kick out of that last one.

Enjoy.

One new cemetery and one new sidebar

Greetings — we’ve posted 2 new stories: Hillendahl Cemetery, a small cemetery with an unusual location and The Dante Club, about the translation of Dante’s Divine Comedy into English and a fascinating novel associated with it.

We’ve started to work on Forest Park Lawndale, one of the largest cemeteries in Houston but we need help from the Dignity Memorial folks. Marks cannot walk all 360 acres looking at more than 200,000 graves like he did in Glenwood! Enjoy.

Washington Cemetery and the Dark History of the Venetian Carnival Mask

Enjoy
