Greetings – we’re back from a fabulous trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos. I’ll be posting some intriguing information about cemeteries and a historic burial we found there but, in the meantime, I’ve already posted new listings: Holy Cross Cemetery, Houston’s second oldest Catholic cemetery and burying spot for a professional baseball player and one of the city’s most celebrated architects. Under Sidebars, you’ll get the first taste of Galapagos by reading about Lonesome George, a giant Galapagos tortoise. I’ve added some listings to Glenwood Cemetery including a fascinating story about the “Avenging Angel” and Clark Gable’s wife. And, last but not least, a captivating story entitled “Buried Alive.” Enjoy.
